INGENIOUS was presented by our partners in CyRIC during the Nicosia Risk Forum 2019

Our partners from CyRIC participated in the 2nd Annual Symposium of the Centre of Excellence in Risk and Decision Sciences (CERIDES), “Nicosia Risk Forum 2019”, showcasing the INGENIOUS project & its innovations.

The “Nicosia Risk Forum” is an innovative event for the area of South-Eastern Europe, which provides a high level of information related to risk management & decision sciences. The event brings together academic, industrial, governmental, and other societal stakeholders with a significant interest in the theory and applications of risk.

The 2nd edition of the Nicosia Risk Forum, which was held on 21 November 2019, at the EUC Cultural Center in Nicosia, was dedicated to the identification, analysis, and mitigation of risks stemming from the global phenomenon of Climate Change. These risks are interdisciplinary in nature and require the close cooperation of all societal stakeholders in order to be adequately managed. The 2nd Nicosia Risk Forum aimed to make a significant contribution towards this requirement through the implementation of a number of related activities.

The event was attended by more than 70 participants. Among others it gathered a number of high-level stakeholders and policy makers, related to the First Responder mission and activities. E.g.:  Nikos Chardalias, Secretary General of Civil Protection Hellenic Republic, Andreas Frantzis, Commissioner of Civil Defense Cyprus, Charalmbos Alexandrou, Director of Forestry Department, Polys Hadjivasileiou, Director of Cyprus Fire Service.lkk.
