The Small Scale Test #15 (SST#15) in Bilbao was the opportunity to test, for the first time, the triage systems (ICCS) consisting of the tag, the mobile application and the web platform.
The Small Scale Test #13 (SST #13) of the INGENIOUS project tested and evaluated the INGENIOUS K9 vest (ICCS) during the search of victims in damaged buildings which are too dangerous for entering for the first responders.
The importance of early warning of the presence of hazardous gases is of paramount importance for the safety of First Responders (FRs) and their operations. The gas sensor (Alpes Lasers & TUW) to be demonstrated within the INGENIOUS project needs to warn users in a simple and efficient manner. The sensor tested is truly portable and lightweight (less than 0.5 kg) and easy to use as its interface includes only a power button and an LED indicator. The system transmits the measured values of the two targeted gasses to the INGENIOUS platform enabling the users to be notified where exposure to hazardous conditions.
Small Scale Test of the INGENIOUS Common Operational Picture and Multilingual Operations App (SST#18)
In events of disaster, a clear understanding of the situation by the First Responders (FRs) is critical for good decision making. However, during these very dynamic situations, the enormous amount of information can become a handicap and restrain effective decisions. INGENIOUS is following a unified approach, where information collected from the different INGENIOUS Next Generation Integrated Toolkit (NGIT) modules is shared with FRs on a “need to know basis”. Through the Enhanced Common Operational Picture ECOP (Satways) module, FRs are receiving the right information at the right time, enabling them to take the right actions at critical moments.
The Small Scale Test #17 (SST#17) of the INGENIOUS project was dedicated to the Social Media Application (SMA) testing and validation and took place on 28-29 September 2022 at Ertzaintza facilities in Iurreta, Bilbao, Spain.
The Augmented Reality Response Platform (ARRP) was tested and validated by the INGENIOUS partners during the Small-Scale Test #10 (SST#10) which took place from the 27th to the 29th of September 2022, in Bilbao, Spain.
The 2nd round of INGENIOUS Small Scale Tests in Bilbao – Little monkey Malpi’s adventures with the INGENIOUS partners continue!
Once again the little monkey Malpi was contracted to write a blog post for the INGENIOUS project! This time Lilou, Malpi’s owner, said that Mapli wants to travel to Spain. So she flew via Munich to Bilbao and a new adventure with the INGENIOUS partners began…
The 3rd round of Integration and Testing Laboratories (LITs) of the INGENIOUS project has been successfully carried out.The LIT#23 was held with physical participation during 28-30 March 2022 and the other LITs (#19-22, #24-27) remotely from April 5 to 7, 2022. This is the last round planned in the INGENIOUS project that contemplates incremental and iterative integrations from the Laboratory Integrated Tests (LITs), Small Scale Tests (SSTs) and Full Scale Exercises (FSXs). On this occasion, unlike the previous ones, the scope has been extended beyond the laboratory and focused on the connection of specific tools, but oriented towards the preparation for the 1st FSX given the level of development, interdependence, and integration between the components.
Small Scale Tests of the INGENIOUS K9 Vest, MAX, MINs, IPS, MACS-SaR, Field Communication components (SST#4 & SST#5)
Europe remains vulnerable to a wide range of natural and man-made hazards (such as floods, earthquakes, industrial accidents, loss of critical infrastructure, etc.), which have a huge impact on human lives and economic losses.
Small Scale Tests of the INGENIOUS Helmet, Uniform, Boots, Augmented Reality Platform, Common Operational Platform and Multilingual Translation App (SST#1, SST#3 and SST#9)
From 11 to 15 October 2021, our SBFF partners hosted three Small Scale Tests (SSTs), SST#1, SST#3 and SST#9 of INGENIOUS, in collaboration with the Swedish Civil Contingencies Agency (MSB) at their main training field in the south of Sweden.
