Best of moments from the Safe Corfu Conference on Civil Protection and New Technologies! Our partners from HRTA (Hellenic Rescue Team Attica) presented the INGENIOUS IoT & Augmented Reality Technologies.

Our partners from HRTA represented INGENIOUS on the event and submitted a paper abstract for evaluation. The event was attended by over 300 participants, policy/decision-makers, first responders, scientific groups etc. Bringing together both international and national representatives from scientific and technological communities, local government and central administration, the private sector and Volunteer’s organizations, SafeCorfu aimed to: reinforce the interdependence and co-operation in Civil Protection, take advantage of all new technological achievements and adopt them in Civil Protection, exchange experience, lessons learned and good practices, discuss Civil Protection at any level.

Attendees had the chance to get informed about the cutting-edge technological solutions that INGENIOUS proposes for the security and safety of the First Responder of the future.

The project will deliver the innovative Next Generation Integrated Toolkit (NGIT) for both the First Responder himself and the accompanying K9 Units. Among other things, the system will include wearables, communication and localization components, sensors, add-ons delivering augmented reality functions, smart devices in the air and on the ground, such as self-exploring drones, and also multi-fusion and expert reasoning modules, web and mobile applications, social media “push” and “pull” messaging etc.
