INGENIOUS 2nd FSX (Full Scale eXercise) and 2nd International Workshop on “Tools for the First Responder of the Future”
After a successful first Full Scale eXercise (1st FSX) in May 2022 in Villejust, France, the INGENIOUS Consortium is pleased to invite you to the INGENIOUS 2nd Full Scale eXercise (2nd FSX) to be held on Thursday 10 November 2022, in Bilbao, Spain. In conjunction with the 2nd FSX, INGENIOUS is organising its 2nd International Workshop on the “Tools for the First Responder of the Future” that will take place on November 9th in a hybrid mode. Both events will be hosted by our partner ERTZ at their training facilities in Iurreta, Basque Country.
The INGENIOUS project, funded by the European Union and the Republic of Korea under the Horizon 2020 Research and Innovation Programme, aims to assist First Responders (FRs) to be more effective and save more lives during natural and manmade disasters and crises by exploiting novel technologies. INGENIOUS is developing, integrating, testing and validating a Next Generation Integrated Toolkit (NGIT) for Collaborative Response, which ensures a high level of Protection and Augmented Operational Capacity to respond to the disaster situation. The Toolkit integrates smart sensors, systems and Augmented Reality technologies, for both the First Responder himself and the accompanying K9 Units.
During the 2nd FSX in Bilbao, the 3rd and Final Prototypes of the INGENIOUS NGIT will be demonstrated to the wide public. The INGENIOUS Consortium will present the main features, benefits and advances of the technologies for the First Responders. Both the technology providers and the practitioners of the project will work together to test and evaluate the effectiveness of the INGENIOUS final solution in real conditions. This time, the scenario will simulate an emergency response attack in a highway tunnel. This is the last Full Scale demonstration of the INGENIOUS technologies that is expected to provide significant feedback, assessing the progress of the technological innovations and the impact in the fields of crisis management and security. After the exercise, all the components of the INGENIOUS NGIT will be available for a table demonstration by the technical partners responsible for their development, who will provide clarifications and a bilateral demonstration of all functionalities.
The INGENIOUS 2nd International Workshop on the “Tools for the First Responder of the Future” will take place one day before the FSX, on November 9th, in a hybrid mode. The INGENIOUS final technology solutions will be presented by the INGENIOUS technical partners, while the end users will share their perspectives, experience and impressions from using the advanced versions/prototypes of the INGENIOUS tools and components in the testing field. An open discussion with Cluster Projects that are at a corresponding stage of development of their technologies will also take place. The projects will present their results and exchange views, knowledge and best practices on the integration and validation methods of their technologies.
Registration is free of charge but required.
